Today I'm in the studio creating a lovely bridal lace headpiece for a Canberra bride. I absolutely love working with lace, there are so many ways you can alter it, embellish it and layer it to create the most wonderful and gorgeous hair adornment! I have to say, if I had to choose one material that I love the most, it would be lace.
The lovely bride to be wanted something lacey and feminine to match her gorgeous pastel pink gown which has lovely Alencon lace, pearl and sequin beading. Funnily enough she says she's not a girl girl and surprised herself by choosing a wedding dress in a pastel pink shade, it goes to show you never know what kind of wedding dress you're going to fall in love with!
Below are a few pics from start to finish the first two starting as a blank canvas of ivory lace and then slowly adding crystals, pearls to create a soft vintage feel.
