It's been quite some time since I have created something with lace, so I thought I should get embellishing! A lot of time has been spent on my new range of bath & body products and tea blends, so designing and creating bridal and event adornments had been put on the back burner for a while. It was really nice to sit and just design and then hand sew some new lace beauties for half a day. I am going to make sure I do it more often from now on!
Below is a new rather simple design in a deep ivory lace with silver seed beads and crystal rhinestones. It's a wonderful piece for a bride who wants to wear something in her hair but also a piece that is a little bit understated.
Another newbie I have added to my Luxe Headpieces is this heavily heavily embellished wrap around freshwater pearl headpiece. This headpiece is set on the same deep ivory lace as used on the above design, but I thought I would use ivory seed beads and copious amounts of freshwater pearls. This bridal headpiece has a very vintage feel to it which I love. Hours upon hours of embellishing work were done on this piece, but I think it was worth the effort!
I'd forgotten how much I love embellishing lace! It really can be a soothing experience and is great for slowing down the mind! Maybe it's time for me to create a new collection!
